Cork and Craft/Abnormal Beer Company, Rancho Bernardo

On Monday evening, Tyson and I went to the Cork and Craft/Abnormal Beer Company dinner that featured beers from chefsLagunitas Brewing Company. And here I am, a few days later, still dreaming about the dishes.  The beers from Lagunitas are always a hit, so I expected nothing less from them.  The food, oh the food— was over-the-top exceptional. So much care and attention went into each of the dishes. Even if you cannot make the monthly beer and food pairings, I encourage everyone to take advantage of Cork and Craft’s menu. Abnormal Beer Co. is doing some pretty amazing things as well.  I sipped on Living the Dream Saison with peaches and also Living the Dream, the original.  I am obsessed with Saisons and this beer pleased my addiction.

I don’t say this about many restaurants, but I pinky promise that there is not one bad dish on their menu.  Even though I have only been to C&C one other time (the beer dinner was our second time visiting), the first time I was there, I ordered just about everything (we were with another adventurous couple who liked to eat just as much as we do). The Charcuterie & Fromage Plate, Garlic Noodles and the Sweet Corn Agnolotti are must have apps.  The meat and cheese plate is HUUUGE and meats are house cured (awesome!), garlic noodles are comfort food amazingness and the sweet corn agnolotti are what dreams are made of. Because the menu is seasonal, our main that we ordered is not on the current menu BUT just to make ya jealous, it was a Black Cod Miso Consumme with Green Tea Soba and Enoki Mushrooms. We also got the Colorado Lamb Loin. 

This is a PERFECT place for date night (casual or fancy) or for a cozy ladies night out.  Service is impeccable and everyone is very knowledge in the products they are serving you.  I cannot recommend this place enough!
